Service Technician (m/f/d) / Field Service Engineer (80–100%)

As a service provider for laboratory supplies and equipment, Chemgo AG represents well-known companies in the life sciences sector across Switzerland and European markets. Chemgo AG is regarded by its customers as the primary point of contact for servicing highly advanced laboratory devices and instruments.

To strengthen our small team of two, we are looking for a Service Technician (m/f/d) / Field Service Engineer.

Your main responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, qualification, and repair of various systems in the fields of peptide synthesis, oligonucleotide synthesis, chromatography (GC/GC-MS), histology, and food analysis.

After an intensive training period—partly conducted at our renowned partner companies—you will work largely independently, often directly at customer sites.

This challenging role requires a high level of personal responsibility, motivation for professional development, and excellent self-organization skills. At the same time, strong communication skills are essential for close collaboration with our customers and sales team.

Your responsibilities:

  • Installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair of systems and accessories in Switzerland and across European countries
  • Qualification and certification of certain systems in accordance with GMP standards
  • Supporting the sales department with product demonstrations, training sessions, and trade fairs
  • Ensuring a first-class quality standard

Your qualifications:

  • Completed vocational training with a chemical or technical background
  • Ideally experience as a service technician or several years of hands-on experience with laboratory equipment combined with strong technical understanding
  • Open, communicative, and customer-oriented personality
  • Strong organizational skills and a solution-oriented approach to work
  • Willingness to travel, primarily within Switzerland, with up to approx. 10% within Europe
  • Very good German skills (spoken and written) and good English skills; French is an advantage
  • Valid Category B driver’s license
